tesa® 4965 Original is a transparent, double-sided PET film adhesive tape for high-performance industrial assemblies, featuring excellent adhesion and extremely high resistance to temperature and aging.

Description

The 205 µm-thick, double-sided transparent PET film adhesive tape tesa® 4965 Original combines a PET backing made from recycled post-consumer PET with a biomass-balanced, modified acrylate adhesive. The adhesive technology is based on a patented and proprietary product formulation and is used worldwide in numerous industries to reliably optimize assembly processes and applications. The tape resists moisture, UV light, many chemicals, and temperatures up to 200 °C (for limited periods) and offers excellent adhesion even on low-energy surfaces. Thanks to its high initial adhesion, very good shear strength, and long-lasting adhesive strength, it is ideal for demanding applications under high mechanical and thermal stress. tesa® 4965 Original is certified for skin contact in accordance with ISO 10993-5 and ISO 10993-10, complies with UL Standard 969 (UL File: MH 18055), is certified according to DIN EN 45545-2 (2R1+HL3), has low VOC levels as determined by VDA 278 analysis, and holds aerospace approvals (Airbus approval per AIMS/AIPS 10-05-031-01 and ABS 5648).
