Der CLEARTEST Humanofecal ist ein qualitativer, lateral flow Immunoassay, der speziell zur Erkennung von menschlichem okkultem Blut in Stuhlproben entwickelt wurde. Durch die Verwendung von Doppelt-Sandwich-Antikörpern kann der Test bereits geringe Konzentrationen von fäkales okkultes Blut (FOB) bei 40 ng/ml oder höher bzw. 4,8 μg/g in der Stuhlprobe nachweisen. Dies ist besonders wichtig, da viele gastrointestinale Erkrankungen wie Dickdarmkrebs, Geschwüre oder Polypen im Frühstadium oft keine sichtbaren Symptome zeigen, sondern nur durch okkultes Blut erkennbar sind. Im Vergleich zu traditionellen Guajak-basierten Methoden bietet dieser Test eine höhere Empfindlichkeit und Genauigkeit, ohne dass Diätvorgaben nötig sind.
