The Exactsign Covid-19 antigen quick test (nose smear) is a qualitative lateral flow immunoassay for the detection of the N-protein from SARS-COV-2 in nose smears. In this test, a specific antibody for the N-Protein from Sars-Cov-2 is applied separately to the test line region of the test cassette. During the test, the extracted sample reacts with the antibody against the N-protein from Sars-Cov-2, which is applied to the particles. The mixture hikes up the membrane to react with the antibody against the N-protein from Sars-Cov-2 on the membrane and to create a colored line in the test regions. The presence of this colored line of the test regions shows a positive result. In order to serve as a procedural control, a colored line always appears in the control region when the test has been carried out properly.
