Application
Ear measurement
The measurement can be done in the right or left ear. The thermometer measures the infrared radiation, which is given by the eardrum and the ear canal. This radiation is absorbed by the sensor and converted into temperature values. The best results are achieved by measuring the infrared radiation in the middle ear (eardrum). The radiation released by the surrounding tissue leads to lower measured values
Forehead measurement
The thermometer measures the infrared radiation released from the skin in the forehead and temple area and the surrounding tissue. The radiation is absorbed by the sensor and converted into temperature values. The most precise values are achieved from one temple to the other by scanning the entire area.
