Paint and even critical primer systems adhere reliably to the backing without peeling off. The tape is resistant to wet sanding, remains stable even during intensive preparation work, and can be removed easily and without leaving residue after drying—even when cold. Thanks to the combination of a lightly creped paper backing and a natural rubber adhesive, tesakrepp® 4318 PV 2 offers high tear strength and excellent tearability by hand, making it ideal for precise, efficient work in industrial settings.

Key Features

Product Type: Lightly creped, flexible paper masking tape

Color: light brown

Thickness: 170 µm

Adhesive: Natural rubber

Backing material: lightly creped paper

Temperature resistance (60 min.): up to 160 °C

Resistant to wet sanding: yes

Easy to remove, even when cold: yes

Tearability by hand: very good

Elongation at break: 12%

Tensile strength: 47 N/cm

Adhesion to steel: 4 N/cm

Adhesion: Paint and critical primer systems adhere to the back without peeling

Available in 7 variants:

Dimensions: 50 m x 9 mm

Dimensions: 50 m x 12 mm

Dimensions: 50 m x 19 mm

Dimensions: 50 m x 25 mm

Dimensions: 50 m x 30 mm

Dimensions: 50 m x 38 mm

Dimensions: 50 m x 50 mm

Applications

Masking for demanding industrial applications with drying temperatures up to 160 °C

Professional painting work in the automotive sector

Masking of edges, profiles, and sensitive surfaces

Wet sanding and surface preparation in workshops

Use in paint shops and drying ovens

Summary

Thanks to its high temperature resistance, reliable adhesion, and easy, residue-free removal, tesakrepp® 4318 PV 2 offers maximum safety and efficiency for industrial painting and masking applications—the ideal choice for professional users with the highest standards.

For more information, please refer to the data sheets
