Thanks to its very high adhesive mass, it is ideal for bonding to rough substrates and non-polar surfaces such as polypropylene (PP) and polyethylene (PE). At the same time, tesafix® 4964 can be removed easily and cleanly from all clean, crack-resistant surfaces. With a thickness of 390 µm, excellent initial tack, and good resistance to plasticizers, this adhesive tape is ideally suited for demanding, temporary, and permanent applications in professional settings.

Key Features

Product Type: Double-sided adhesive tape with fabric backing (tesafix® 4964)

Backing Material: Fabric, tear-resistant and flexible

Adhesive: Natural rubber

Color: white

Thickness: 390 µm

Special advantage: Very high adhesive mass, ideal for rough and nonpolar surfaces (PP, PE)

Easily removable from clean, crack-resistant surfaces

Elongation at break: 6%

Tensile strength: 80 N/cm

Short-term temperature resistance: 110 °C

Chemical resistance: low

UV resistance: medium

Initial tack: very good

Moisture resistance: medium

Static shear strength at 23 °C: medium

Static shear strength at 40 °C: low

Plasticizer resistance: good

Adhesion to ABS: 7.3 N/cm (initial), 7.8 N/cm (after 14 days)

Adhesion to aluminum: 7.2 N/cm (initial), 7.3 N/cm (after 14 days)

Adhesion to PC: 7.4 N/cm (initial), 7.5 N/cm (after 14 days)

Adhesion to PE: 5.3 N/cm (initial), 5.4 N/cm (after 14 days)

Adhesive strength on PET: 6.5 N/cm (initial), 7.2 N/cm (after 14 days)

Adhesive strength on PP: 6.8 N/cm (initial), 6.9 N/cm (after 14 days)

Adhesion strength on PS: 7.2 N/cm (initial), 7.5 N/cm (after 14 days)

Adhesive strength on PVC: 6.9 N/cm (initial), 7.0 N/cm (after 14 days)

Adhesive strength on steel: 7.5 N/cm (initial), 7.6 N/cm (after 14 days)

Variants (dimensions): 25 m x 50 mm;
