The white tape with a brown release liner compensates for tolerances and stresses between the materials to be bonded and offers excellent initial adhesion. Thanks to its excellent moisture resistance, good chemical resistance, and good UV and aging resistance, it is ideal for permanent bonding applications both indoors and outdoors. The high static shear strength at 23 °C and 40 °C ensures a secure hold, even in demanding applications such as bonding mirrors or signs.

Key Features

Product Type: Double-sided PE foam adhesive tape

Tape color: white

Liner: brown release paper, thickness 70 µm, weight 80 g/m²

Total thickness: 1,150 µm

Adhesive: modified acrylate, weather-resistant

Backing material: PE foam

Very good moisture resistance, good chemical and UV resistance

High static shear strength at 23 °C and 40 °C; highly shear-resistant and moisture-insensitive

Good initial tack and very good initial adhesion

Elongation at break: 200%, tensile strength: 10 N/cm

Plasticizer resistance: moderate

Temperature resistance (short-term/long-term): 80 °C

Adhesion to many substrates (initial/after 14 days): ABS 5/8 N/cm, aluminum 5/8 N/cm, PC 5/8 N/cm, PE 2.7/2.8 N/cm, PET 5/7 N/cm, PP 2.8/5.5 N/cm, PS 5/7.5 N/cm, PVC 5/8 N/cm, steel 6.5/8 N/cm

Self-adhesive, ideal for making profiles, strips, plastic hooks, cable clamps, cable trays, and flat cables self-adhesive

Available sizes: 5 m x 19 mm; 50 m x 9 mm; 50 m x 12 mm; 50 m x 15 mm; 50 m x 19 mm; 50 m x 25 mm

Applications

Bonding mirrors in damp rooms

Bonding window muntins

Shatter protection in the manufacture of automotive exterior mirrors

Sign mounting on smooth and slightly uneven surfaces

Self-adhesive finishing of profiles, moldings, and plastic hooks

Coating of cable clamps, cable strips, and flat cables

Summary

tesafix® 4952 PE foam adhesive tape, white, is the reliable solution for durable, heavy-duty, and moisture-resistant bonds on a wide variety of substrates—ideal for professional applications ranging from mirror to sign installation.

For more information, please refer to the data sheets
