It is ideal for creating custom, large-area masks, such as during facade renovations. Delicate and valuable surfaces are reliably protected during the cleaning and renovation of facades, during painting and plastering work, and when installing external thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS). Thanks to its high weather and UV resistance, the tape can be used outdoors for up to 6 weeks and then removed without leaving any residue. The balanced, practical, double-sided adhesive strength ensures that the protective film adheres securely to a wide variety of surfaces and allows for the creation of masking templates in virtually any size.

Key Features

Double-sided masking tape for large-area masking

High weather and UV resistance: can be used outdoors for up to 6 weeks

Masking tape that can be removed without leaving residue

Balanced, practical, double-sided adhesive strength for secure holding of the protective film

Suitable for protective films in all sizes

Thickness: 130 µm

Color: red (tape), red-and-white markings

Adhesive: Acrylate

Backing material: PVC film

Tensile strength: 30 N/cm

Tearability by hand: good

Adhesive strength on steel: 3 N/cm

Dimensions: 25 m x 25 mm

Unit: 1 roll

Applications

Exterior facade renovation

Painting and plastering work on exterior walls

Installation of external thermal insulation composite systems (ETICS)

Protection of sensitive and valuable surfaces during cleaning work

Creation of custom, large-scale protective covers using protective film

Summary

The tesa® Professional 4836 masking tape is the professional solution for secure, large-area masking outdoors: weather- and UV-resistant, removable without leaving residue for up to 6 weeks, and featuring strong, double-sided adhesive strength for reliable hold of the protective films—ideal for anyone who wants to optimally protect sensitive surfaces during renovation and insulation work.

For more information, please refer to the data sheets
